Over the past several months, I’ve been walking the same paths in New Orleans almost daily, observing the gradual emergence of Spring through tiny shifts in the landscape—buds forming, flowers blooming in stages, scents returning to the air, and entire ecosystems quickening seemingly overnight.
In this essay, I reflect on what the season has been teaching me about cycles, timing, growth, impermanence, and the conditions that shape transformation in both the natural world and our own lives.
